“All that is needed is that we take these truths down off the high shelf of theology and put them to work as we live our daily lives.”  --- James Montgomery Boice

Throughout the history of the church one defining mark of a church’s validity has always been based on the faithful ministry of the exposition of Scripture.  Yet there has been a steady erosion of confidence in Scripture for several decades, culminating in theological and/ or practical elimination of the need for the Bible to direct our lives.  To know God’s truth has not been essential to how they want to live their lives.  They have lost sight of that vital connection, which leaves a void that is often filled with mysticism, rituals, entertainment and fun, all in the name of Christ.  We need to return to the faithful exposition of Scripture, to the importance and sufficiency of the Word of God.  We need to be faithful to the age-old task of unpacking, unfolding, and unleashing the power of every verse, every line, and every word of the Scripture upon the lives of the hearer/reader.
