The church’s primary function is to proclaim God’s Word. It is to be a training center where people can grow through teaching, by using their spiritual gifts to build up one another. It is to be a place you can find truth.

1 Tim 3:15—“I write so you may know how to conduct yourselves in the House of God, which is the church of the loving God, which is the pillar and ground(literally, the support) of the truth.”

Martyn Lloyd Jones: “You are not simply imparting information, you are dealing with souls, you are dealing with pilgrims on the way to eternity, you are dealing with matters not only of life and death in this world, but with eternal destiny. Nothing can be so terribly urgent.”
